McDermott Will & Emery is doubling down on its young but growing energy practice, fueled by a blistering M&A market, private equity client interest in energy and a focus on renewables.

The latest move in that direction is the addition of three new lateral partners, all of whom focus on energy transactions. McDermott announced Tuesday that it added former Kayne Anderson Energy Funds general counsel Kevin Brophy to its Houston office and former Jones Day renewable energy partners Jim Salerno and Robert da Silva Ashley in its New York office.
