U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis of the Eastern District of New York this week sanctioned a New York-registered attorney and his client, saying they cannot initiate any new proceedings in the district without obtaining his permission.

Garaufis also ordered the lawyer, Jack Jordan, to file a copy of the 15-page order in all his federal district cases and in any new cases for the next year nationwide, so other judges can be aware of his conduct.
