U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres of the Southern District of New York on Tuesday granted former White House strategist Steve Bannon’s motion to dismiss the indictment against him, four months after he was pardoned by former President Donald Trump in the final hours of his administration.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan had urged Torres to administratively terminate Bannon from the case instead of dismissing the indictment. In the event of a dismissal, they asked that any order “conform to the language and scope of the pardon.”
