Two Bureau of Prisons employees accused of submitting false records on the night of Jeffrey Epstein’s death in Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center took responsibility for their actions during a hearing Tuesday, in which they entered into deferred prosecution agreements with the government.

Corrections officers Tova Noel and Michael Thomas “willfully and knowingly completed materially false count and round slips regarding required counts and rounds in the Special Housing Unit of the Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 9, 2019, and August 10, 2019,” they acknowledged to U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres.
