Simpson Thacher & Bartlett has brought on another lawyer who held a leadership position in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission during the Trump administration.

Marc Berger, most recently the acting director of the SEC’s enforcement division, will join the firm’s New York office in June as a litigation partner, Simpson Thacher said Thursday. The announcement comes a few months after Simpson said that William Hinman, who was the director of the agency’s Division of Corporation Finance, had returned to the firm in Washington, D.C.
