The Eastern District of New York’s first in-person jury trial of 2021 is set to begin Monday, almost a year after defendant Keith Levy had his original trial date moved due to the pandemic.
Levy’s attorney Gordon Mehler, principal at Mehler Law, said he nearly made it to another trial date in December, after the Eastern District launched its first attempt to resume trials during the autumnal dip in COVID-19 cases in New York, but all trials were called off again in late November.
