DLA Piper has become the latest firm to reorganize its management structure. The firm this week, in revamping the way it handles U.S. operations, named an 11-member team to support Americas chair Frank Ryan, who has been in the seat since the start of 2021.

The move is another step in DLA’s transition away from the dual chair model in place for Ryan’s predecessors, U.S. co-chairs Roger Meltzer and Jay Rains. The leadership group includes U.S. managing partners Richard Chesley in Chicago and Los Angeles-based Jackie Kim Park, who stepped into their roles in April 2020. But they are complemented by two new vice-chairs, as Miami-based vice chair Joe Alexander will oversee transactions work, while New York-based Loren Brown will oversee disputes.
