Prosecutors in the Southern District of New York on Friday announced an indictment charging John David McAfee, the founder of the McAfee antivirus software company, and one of his associates with fraud related to cryptocurrency schemes.

The fraud case, which allegedly involves more than $13 million, is the latest in a string of legal difficulties for the 75-year-old McAfee, who has not been associated with the company that bears his name since the 1990s.
