Dozens of past and present bar association leaders across New York have asked a state attorney grievance committee to discipline Rudy Giuliani for sowing false allegations of widespread election fraud both “inside and outside of court,” as pressure mounts to revoke the former New York City mayor’s law license.

The ethics complaint, submitted Thursday on behalf of New York State Bar Association Past President Michael Miller, charged that Giuliani had “traded on his reputation” as the former Manhattan U.S. attorney in the 1980s to spread disinformation, while pursuing doomed and “meritless” legal arguments in court.
