“The judiciary was asked to look at their budget and do what they think is the right thing to do with regard to controlling spending in light of the reductions in programs that we’re doing across the board. But there was no directive [at] the judiciary on what they had or were required to do,” Robert Mujica said. A state financial plan assumed the judiciary would initiate a 10% cut in their budget during the current fiscal year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
