A Manhattan federal judge appeared to signal her opposition Thursday to Ghislaine Maxwell’s request that an accuser of Jeffrey Epstein be forced to disclose how much money she would receive in exchange for releasing her claims against the estate of the deceased financier, accused of trafficking young girls for sex.

U.S. District Judge Lorna G. Schofield of the Southern District of New York said she was disinclined to order plaintiff Annie Farmer to make public the amount of money she expected to receive from Epstein’s U.S. Virgin Islands estate through a confidential victim compensation program.
