A federal judge on Thursday said he will allow former Trump national security adviser John Bolton to pursue any evidence of potential misconduct in the White House review of his memoir, “The Room Where It Happened,” a damning account that the administration unsuccessfully sued to block ahead of its public release last year.

In an 18-page opinion, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth of the federal trial court in Washington found that Bolton is entitled to seek limited discovery into whether President Donald Trump and senior White House officials acted in bad faith by delaying the national security review of his book and attempted to exert undue influence on decisions to classify sensitive material.
