A Manhattan federal judge has rejected Ghislaine Maxwell’s second bid to be released from a Brooklyn federal jail ahead of her upcoming trial on criminal sex-trafficking charges.

U.S. District Judge Alison J. Nathan of the Southern District of New York on Monday denied Maxwell’s renewed motion for bail, finding again that the longtime confidante of deceased financier Jeffrey Epstein posed too great a flight risk if released on a proposed $28.5 million bail package.
