New York’s court system is keeping close watch on daily coronavirus figures as the state moves forward with criminal jury trials in the Bronx and Queens this week, Chief Judge Janet DiFiore said in a video statement released Monday.
Key coronavirus metrics have been on the rise in New York over the last month and half, in turn prompting the state to issue shutdown orders for cluster areas. State officials on Monday reported 1,633 new coronavirus cases statewide.
