New York is reporting a surge of new coronavirus cases at Elmira Correctional Facility, prompting the state close visitation at the Southern Tier prison.
Data from the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision shows that 95 new coronavirus cases were confirmed among prisoners at the facility between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon.
