As they were quizzed on key issues Tuesday night, the nine candidates running to replace Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. established that they agree on many of the policies that have distinguished progressive prosecutors in recent elections.

Nearly all nine support the decriminalization of sex work and, through various means, reducing or reallocating funding from the New York City Police Department to nonpolice forms of community response, they told Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club president Allen Roskoff, who organized a Zoom meet-and-greet for the group.
