New York Attorney General Letitia James on Tuesday sued a major egg company, arguing it earned about $4 million from illegal price gouging at the peak of the coronavirus pandemic.

Hillandale Farms sells eggs to several New York grocery chains, including Stop & Shop, Western Beef, BJ’s Wholesale Club, and Associated Supermarkets, according to the complaint, along with supplying eggs to the commissary stores on military bases in the state.
