After two months of gains that added over 10,000 jobs in the legal industry, the July numbers aren’t quite as rosy. The monthly Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs report showed a gain of 1,900 jobs in July, after adding 3,500 jobs in May and around 7,500 in June

The legal sector, comprised of attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries and others who make their living in the law, saw a loss of 64,000 jobs in the April report as the industry was hit hard by pandemic related layoffs and austerity measures. The climb back has been slow and appears to be getting slower.
