Five French citizens residing in the United States, including a New York-based lawyer, have asked for a court to determine that the French government’s COVID-19 testing requirements for travelers from four countries violates their right to return to their home country.

An emergency lawsuit filed before the French Administrative Supreme Court Thursday criticizes France’s recent mandate that all French nationals attempting to return from a select group of countries, including the United States, obtain a negative COVID-19 PCR test result within 72 hours of boarding a flight to France.
