Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison has risked drawing the renewed ire of President Donald Trump after filing a lawsuit against the Hudson Valley Proud Boys seeking collection of a judgment. The move comes months after agreeing to support conservative-friendly causes pro bono as a condition of Trump withdrawing an executive order targeting the law firm.
The nominations include current housing court judge Juliet Howard and attorneys Dagmar Gonzalez and Chidi Eze. The candidates will appear on the ballot in the November general election.
On July 29, the New York State Office of Cannabis Management announced that it erred in advising applicants that the 500-foot proximity restriction should be measured in a straight line, from the center of the nearest school entrance to the center of the dispensary’s main entrance. To fix the miscue, a New York senator is proposing that impacted businesses that have opened their doors be grandfathered in.
