The Community Service Society has named Boies Schiller Flexner managing partner Nicholas Gravante Jr. as its new board chairman, succeeding Deborah Sale who stepped down after reaching her term limit.
A Brooklyn resident, Gravante was first elected to the CSS board in June 2003. In 17 years he has chaired several committees, including the development, human resources, program and executive committees. He also is the board’s immediate past vice chairman.
