After weeks of illness, Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Noach Dear has died of complications related to COVID-19, a spokesman for the state court system confirmed Sunday.
Dear was elected in 2015 and presided over civil court. He previously served as a Kings County Civil Court judge, a member of the New York City Council and a commissioner of the Taxi and Limousine Commission.
