Weil, Gotshal & Manges has developed a program in conjunction with Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business to teach its first- and third-year associates key business concepts and help them develop the business acumen they need to succeed.

Weil executive partner Barry Wolf said the firm already runs about 200 legal training sessions for its associates every year. But having an understanding of business concepts will allow the firm’s more business-savvy associates to better grasp their clients’ needs and in turn, provide more efficient service.
