A British art broker has been sentenced Tuesday to four to 12 years in prison for stealing up to $30 million from former clients who had hired him to sell valuable works by Pablo Picasso and other famous painters, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. announced the sentence weeks after defendant Timothy Sammons pleaded guilty July 2 to 15 counts for grand larceny and scheme to defraud.
