The District Attorneys Association of the State of New York, the group representing the state’s prosecutors, has a new president after Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler was sworn in to the leadership post.
Hoovler, a Republican, replaces Albany County District Attorney David Soares, a Democrat who’s led the organization over the past year. DAASNY elects a new president each summer.
