New York-based Axiom Global Inc., an alternative legal services provider, announced Tuesday that the chief legal officer at Zillow Group has landed on Axiom’s board of directors as the audit chair.
As the audit chair, Kathleen Gillihan Philips will help guide the company’s growth and provide financial oversight to the company. “There’s no greater journey to be on than that of scale and expansion,” Philips said in a statement.
“I’m happy to be on that journey with Axiom, helping the company navigate both the challenges and opportunities resulting from growth. I’m even more thrilled to be doing it with a company that shares a passion for disrupting the status quo in order to create a more compelling and efficient exchange for clients and talent alike.”
Philips previously was the chief legal officer and CFO at Zillow and announced in May that she would be resigning from the CFO role immediately and would stay on as CLO until the end of this year. Philips has been the general counsel of StubHub, FanSnap and Hotwire.
Axiom, headquartered in New York City with additional offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia, also announced the hiring of one-time Thomson Reuters Americas general counsel John Reid-Dodick, who will join the board of directors as compensation chair. Reid-Dodick is currently the senior vice president of culture at WeWork, according to his LinkedIn profile. In his new role, Reid-Dodick, will help guide how Axiom invests in talent, the company said. He was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell early in his career.
“They understand how to harness the power of talent and technology to drive change in the way people work, where people work, and how services are delivered.”
Axiom also recently appointed Cathy Johnson as chief information officer and Lisa Young as general counsel.
Axiom provides tech-enabled legal, contract and compliance solutions for large companies.
