The New York Court of Appeals has removed Rochester City Court Justice Leticia Astacio from the bench after she was convicted of driving while intoxicated in 2016, violated the terms of her conditional discharge and acted inappropriately in the courtroom.
The high court wrote that, while Astacio had shown some remorse for her actions, it was unconvinced that she accepts personal responsibility for her behavior.
