Practice Profile: Brittany focuses her practice on identifying, evaluating and managing global privacy and information security risks and compliance issues. A significant aspect of Brittany’s practice is advising large, multi-national companies on catastrophic cybersecurity incidents, including co-managing the global legal response for two of the largest reported data breaches. She routinely advises on breach notification obligations, responding to multi-jurisdictional regulatory investigations, managing privacy and security-related inquiries from Boards of Directors and potential acquiring companies in a deal setting, building privacy and security governance programs, and conducting proactive breach preparedness activities. Brittany also has significant experience in advising clients on international and sector-specific data privacy requirements and restrictions and negotiates privacy and data security provisions of commercial and technology-related contracts.

Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work: Brittany volunteers as a welfare advocacy attorney for the City Bar Justice Center’s Legal Clinic for the Homeless and was awarded the City Bar Justice Center’s 2016 Jeremy G. Epstein Award for Pro Bono Service. She also served as a Legal Fellow Staff Attorney for Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, counseling low-income artists and arts organizations with corporate, intellectual property and litigation issues.
