The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Friday aligned itself with its sister circuit in the District of Columbia, agreeing that a narrower reading of Telephone Consumer Protection Act claims over autodialing required abandoning a U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York court order.

The order that was vacated and remanded was from U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein, who granted partial summary judgment in favor of Araceli King, who brought suit against Time Warner for using an autodialer to call her cellphone 153 times without her consent.
