The federal judiciary will not consider lifting the longstanding prohibition of cameras in trial courts, officials announced on Tuesday. The committee of judges overseeing a cameras pilot program concluded that there was no “sufficient or persuasive evidence of a benefit to the judiciary to justify the negative effect" of cameras.
