Neal Katyal of Hogan Lovells takes the ice bucket challenge. ()
Another week, another bucketful of lawyers sharing their support for charity.
The ALS Association, which supports research and outreach on the neurodegenerative disease, today said it received more than $100 million in donations from 3 million donors in August thanks to the ice bucket challenge.
“The word gratitude doesn’t do enough to express what we are feeling right now,” said Barbara Newhouse, president and CEO, according to a statement. “We want to move quickly but decisively as our ultimate goal is to use this incredible generosity in a way that has the biggest impact on fighting this disease.”
