When Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill unveiled one of Utah’s largest public corruption cases against two former attorneys general this week, he didn’t mince words about who he thought should have been prosecuting.

“I’d be less than honest with you if I didn’t say to you that I have actually been very disappointed with what the DOJ did or didn’t do,” he said. “Really, this case should not be something that we should be prosecuting as local prosecutors.”
