Howard University has tapped Danielle Holley-Walker as its next law dean. She has taught at the University of South Carolina School of Law since 2005 and served as associate dean for academic affairs for the past three years.

Holley-Walker will arrive at Howard on July 15, replacing interim law dean Okianer Christian Dark, who took over after former dean Kurt Schmoke stepped down in July 2012 to become the university’s general counsel.
