Among the people advising the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault was Laura Dunn, a third-year student at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

Dunn is the founder of SurvJustice—a nonprofit group that advocates for enforcement of the rights of victims of campus sexual assault. She herself became a victim of sexual assault as a freshman at the University of Wisconsin in 2004 and felt unsatisfied with the way the university handled her report. The federal government included the organization on its new list of sexual-assault resources, found at NotAlone.gov.
