Todd Overman joins the firm as partner to lead its new government-contracts practice. Overman will lead a team of five other lawyers in the practice group. He focuses on issues in the aerospace, defense, healthcare and life science industries. Previously, Overman worked at Hogan Lovells. He earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School.


Carol Van Cleef joins the firm’s financial-services practice as a partner specializing in electronic payment methods and antimoney laundering. Previously, she was a partner at Patton Boggs. She earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law.


Odin Smith joins the firm as senior counsel to the environmental, energy and resources practice. Previously, Smith was an attorney adviser at the U.S. Depart­ment of the Interior, where he worked with officials on environmental compliance in the offshore oil and gas programs. He earned his J.D. from George Washington University Law School.


Melissa Gilmore joins the firm as a partner and leader of the Food and Drug Administration regulatory practice. Previously, Gilmore worked at McGuireWoods. She earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.


Paul Moorehead, Kevin Wadzinski and Brian Gunn have joined the firm as principals in the Indian tribal governments practice. The group join from Drinker Biddle & Reath. Moorehead earned his J.D. from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. Wadzinski earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and Gunn earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law.
