Nixon Peabody: Seth Levy has been named managing partner of the Los Angeles office, succeeding Rick Jones. Jones will continue his practice representing clients in governance and business matters. In addition to his responsibilities as managing partner, Levy will focus on intellectual property protection plus strategy and disputes in the life sciences and health care sectors.

Barnes & Thornburg (Indianapolis): Chad Stover joins the firm’s intellectual property group as partner in the Wilmington, Del., office and will focus on patent, trademark and copyright, and unfair-competition and trade secrets litigation. Previously, Stover was a partner at Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg.

Chadbourne & Parke (New York): Lawrence Larose and Samuel Kohn join the firm’s bankruptcy and financial restructuring practice as partners in the New York office. Both attorneys will focus on business reorganizations and will represent corporate creditors in municipal restructurings. Previously, Larose and Kohn were partners at Winston & Strawn. Additionally, Beth Kramer joins the firm’s private-funds practice as partner in the New York office and will focus on investment management and securities law. Previously, Kramer was a partner at K&L Gates.

Davidoff Hutcher & Citron (New York): Marc Kaufman joins the firm’s real estate group as partner in the New York office and will focus on transactions. Previously, Kaufman was a partner at Katz & Matz.

Duane Morris (Philadelphia): David Wolfsohn and Aleksander Goranin join the firm’s intellectual property litigation practice as partners in the Philadelphia office. Both attorneys will focus on patent, copyright, licensing, trademark and trade secrets cases. Previously, Wolfsohn and Goranin were partners at Woodcock Washburn.

Hand Baldachin & Amburgey (New York): Carl van der Zandt joins the firm as partner in the New York office and will focus on trans-Atlantic transactions and litigation, with an emphasis on supply chain-related matters, technology and the creative industry. Previously, van der Zandt was founding and managing partner at Gusy Van der Zandt.

Lathrop & Gage (Kansas City, Mo.): Allan Sternstein and Michael Stolarski join the firm’s intellectual property department as partners in the Chicago office. Both attorneys will focus on IP licensing and litigation. Previously, Sternstein and Stolarski were partners at Dykema Gossett.

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips (Los Angeles): Steven Goldberg joins the firm’s litigation practice as partner in the Los Angeles office and will focus on commercial matters, including in the entertainment and real estate industries. Previously, Goldberg was a partner at Russ August & Kabat.

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman: Marcus Wu joins the firm’s executive-compensation and -benefits practice as partner in the San Diego office and will focus on retirement and health-and-welfare plans. Previously, Wu was a partner at Hanson Bridgett.

Porter Hedges (Houston): Michael Larkin joins the firm’s corporate practice as partner and will focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and corporate and securities law. Previously, Larkin was a partner at Adams and Reese.

Sills Cummis & Gross (Newark, N.J.): Charles Kaplan joins the firm’s employment and labor practice as partner in the New York office and will focus on labor and employment and employee-benefits law. Previ­ously, Kaplan was a partner at Sedgwick.

NEW ARRIVALS

Jenner & Block (Chicago): Joseph Noga joins the firm’s complex commercial litigation practice as a partner in the New York office. Previously, Noga served as deputy chief of litigation for GE Capital Corp.

Wiggin and Dana (New Haven, Conn.): Margery Feinzig joins the litigation department as partner in the New York and Stamford, Conn., offices and will represent clients against state and federal investigations and prosecutions. Previously, Feinzig served as a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York.
