Javade Chaudhri, 61, has joined Jones Day’s Washington office as a partner in the global disputes practice. Chaudhri formerly was executive vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer at Sempra Energy. He will advise on transactions and corporate governance. Chaudhri earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Matthew Morrison, 52, joins Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman as partner in the environment, land use and natural resources practice in the Washington office. He focuses on advising clients on compliance. Morrison was a deputy director at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
