Brown Rudnick (Boston): Numan Siddiqi joins the firm's corporate group as partner in the Irvine, Calif., office and will focus on securities offerings and venture-capital and other transactions Previously, Siddiqi was a partner at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth.

Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott (Pittsburgh): Michael Montgomery joins the firm as partner in the Richmond, Va., office and will focus on commercial litigation and products liability matters in the construction and transportation industries. Previously, Montgomery was a partner at Sinnott Nuckols & Logan.

Katten Muchin Rosenman: Alan Brudner joins the firm's litigation and dispute-resolution practice as partner in the New York office and will represent companies and individuals in securities and business litigation. Previously, Brudner was a partner at Paul Hastings.

King & Spalding (Atlanta): Angela Hayes joins the firm's financial services regula­tory practice as partner in the London office and will focus on financial regulation and white-collar defense. Previously, Hayes was a partner at Mayer Brown.

McKenna Long & Aldridge: Elizabeth Bawden joins the firm's corporate practice as partner in the Los Angeles office and will focus on private client services. Previously, Bawden was a partner at Larson & Bawden.

Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo (Boston): John Bae joins the firm's bankruptcy, restructuring and commercial-law practice as partner in the New York office and will focus on financial restructuring, commercial litigation and products liability matters. Previously, Bae was a partner at Greenberg Traurig.

Olshan Frome Wolosky (New York): Mark Sugarman joins the firm's litigation and real estate practice as of counsel to the New York office and will focus on ground lease, commercial office and retail rent revaluation arbitrations. Previously, Sugarman was a partner at Bryan Cave.

Squire Sanders: Gary Gansle joins the firm as leader of the firm's Northern California labor and employment practice in the Palo Alto, Calif., office. Previously, Gansle was a partner at Dorsey & Whitney.

DLA Piper: Aravind Swaminathan joins the firm's litigation practice as partner in the Seattle office and will focus on white-collar and civil litigation. Previously, Swaminathan was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Western District of Washington.

Gardere Wynne Sewell (Dallas): Christina Wisdom joins the firm's government-affairs practice as of counsel to the Austin, Texas, office and will focus on environmental and energy matters. Previously, Wisdom was vice president and general counsel at the Texas Chemical Council.

Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart (West Palm Beach, Fla.): Gregory Munson joins the environmental and land-use practice as partner in the Tallahassee, Fla., office and will focus on water issues. Previously, Munson was deputy secretary for water policy for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

Nutter McClennen & Fish (Boston): James Jacobson joins the business department as partner in the Boston office and will focus on corporate, contractual and regulatory transactions in the life sciences and health care industries. Previously, Jacobson was associate general counsel at Fresenius Medical Care Holdings Inc.

DISTINCTIONS

Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel (New York): Jennifer Rochon, a partner, will leave the firm to serve as the first general counsel for Girl Scouts of the USA on October 1. At the firm, Rochon is a member of the executive committee, chairwoman of the women's initiative committee and focuses her practice on commercial, regulatory and intellectual property matters.
