NEW ASSOCIATE ARRIVALS

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn (Detroit): Kevin Blair joins the firm’s litigation department as an associate in the Lansing, Mich., office. Blair focuses his practice on litigation matters. Previously, Blair was an associate at Squire Sanders. He received his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2006.

Sideman & Bancroft (San Francisco): Kimberly Lewellen, Andrew Muir and Juliana Williamson join the firm as associates. Lewellen and Williamson join the family law group and focus their practice on all aspects of family law, including complex business valuation, child and spousal support, and pre- and post-marital agreements. Previously, Lewellen was an associate at Downey Brand. Lewellen received her J.D. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 2005. Williamson received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2012. Muir focuses his practice on criminal and civil tax controversies, business crimes defense and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Muir received his J.D. from the Vermont Law School in 2012.

Haynes and Boone (New York): Seven associates have been promoted to partnership at the firm.

In the Dallas office, Brack Bryant is a partner in the firm’s real estate practice group. Bryant focuses his practice on real estate matters, including the acquisition, development, sale, financing and leasing of various asset types. Bryant received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2004. Keenan Kolendo is a partner in the firm’s real estate practice group. Kolendo focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of retail, office and industrial projects. Kolendo received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2003. Micah Skidmore is a partner in the firm’s insurance coverage litigation practice. Skidmore focuses on insurance coverage disputes. He received his J.D. from Brigham Young University J. Reubin Clark Law School in 2004.

In the San Antonio, Texas, office, Emma Cano is a partner in the firm’s business litigation/ trial practice. Cano focuses on complex commercial litigation. She received her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2002.

In the New York office, Michael McCarthy is a partner in the firm’s real estate practice. McCarthy focuses on mortgage and mezzanine financing secured by commercial real estate. He received his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2004.

In the Richardson, Texas, office, Julie Nickols is a partner in the intellectual property practice group. Nickols focuses on intellectual property law, including the preparation, prosecution, and enforcement of domestic and international patent portfolios. She received her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2002.

In the Austin, Texas, office, Leslie Thorne is a partner the business litigation, real estate and construction litigation and insurance coverage litigation practices. Thorne focuses her practice on representing clients in federal and state court cases involving fraud, breach of contract and business tort claims and construction and insurance-related litigation. Thorne received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2004.
