Andrea Chambers, 54, and John Sadler, 35, and have joined Ballard Spahr as, respectively, a partner in the energy and project finance group and of counsel to the litigation department. Chambers, based in Washington, focuses on natural gas and electric industries. Previously, she was of counsel to Foley & Lardner. Sadler, based in Bethesda, Md., works in the bankruptcy, reorganization and capital recovery, commercial litigation and commercial real estate recovery groups. Previously, he was a partner at Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker. Both earned their J.D.s from American Uni­versity Washington College of Law.

Dwight Smith III, 57, has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Washington office as partner in the financial-services practice. Previously, Smith was senior of counsel to Morrison & Foerster. He counsels clients on financial and regulatory issues. He earned his J.D. from Yale Law School.
