For a Chicago-based intellectual property law firm that was awarded millions of dollars from the National Institutes of Health during the past five fiscal years, helping the agency cure and treat diseases is all in a day’s work.

Since 1989, Leydig, Voit & Mayer has assisted the NIH with biotechnology and chemistry patent prosecutions, as well as licensing and contested proceedings. From fiscal 2008 to fiscal 2012, Leydig’s work brought the firm awards of $14.8 million, a sum only four law firms could surpass.
