King & Spalding (Atlanta): Merrick White joins the firm’s energy practice as partner in the Singapore office and will focus on the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Previously, White was a partner at Clifford Chance.

McCarter & English (Newark, N.J.): Thomas Hoover joins the firm’s intellectual property practice as partner in the Boston office and will focus on patent, trademark and copyright law. Previously, Hoover was a partner at Weingarten, Schurgin, Gagnebin & Lebovici.

Morrison & Foerster: Jeremy Hunt joins the firm’s corporate practice as partner in the Hong Kong office and will focus on mergers and acquisitions and private-equity investments. Previously, Hunt was a partner at Allen & Overy. Additionally, David Bresnick joins the firm’s corporate practice as partner in the London office and will focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and private-equity investments. Previously, Bresnick was a partner at CMS Cameron McKenna.

Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart: Bob McCormack joins the firm as partner in the Tampa, Fla., office and will focus on labor and employment law, including cases at government agencies. Previously, McCormack was a partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith. Additionally, Kevin Reese joins the firm as partner in the San Francisco office and will focus on wage-and-hour class actions. Previously, Reese was a partner at Hanson Bridgett.

Seyfarth Shaw (Chicago): Patrick Bannon joins the firm’s labor and employment practice as partner in the Boston office and will focus on representing employers in litigation. Previously, Bannon was a partner at McCarter & English.

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton (Los Angeles): Scott Miller joins the firm’s intellectual property practice group in Los Angeles as partner and will focus on representing technology clients in litigation and nonlitigation intellectual property matters. Previously, he was a partner at Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz.

Barnes & Thornburg (Indianapolis): Georgia Schley Ritchie joins the firm’s litigation department as of counsel to the Atlanta office and will focus on business litigation and insurance coverage advice and litigation on behalf of policyholders. Previously, Schley was general counsel for Workout Partners LLC.

Holland & Knight: Thomas Barrette Jr. joins the firm’s corporate and mergers and acquisitions practice group as senior counsel to the Boston office and will focus on advising companies on business transactions. Previously, Barrette was executive vice president and general counsel of MainePCS LLC.

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough (Columbia, S.C.): Pam Ullman joins the firm’s pharmaceutical products liability team as of counsel to the Charleston, S.C., office and will focus on pharmaceutical defense matters. Previously, Ullman was vice president and assistant secretary in charge of global litigation at Aventis Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Steptoe & Johnson LLP (Washington): Harvey Geller joins the firm’s intellectual property group as of counsel to the Los Angeles office and will focus on entertainment litigation. Prev­iously, he was deputy general counsel and senior vice president for business and legal affairs at Universal Music Group.

Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker (New York): Ami Shah joins the firm’s securities practice as counsel to the Houston office and will represent securities broker-dealers and other financial services firms. Previously, Shah was general counsel at Next Financial Group Inc.
