Geoff Willard, 42, has joined Cooley’s Reston, Va., office as a partner in the business department. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, joint ventures and other corporate matters. Previously, he was a partner at VLP Law Group, where he chaired the firm’s corporate group. He received his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law.

Cheryl Falvey, 49, will join Crowell & Moring’s Washington office as a partner in the torts group and product risk management practice, effective October 1. She will focus on toxic torts and environmental litigation. Previously, she was general counsel of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. She earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
