Samantha Gallagher, 36, has joined Bass, Berry & Sims’ Washington office as a partner in the real estate capital markets practice. She represents issuers and underwriters in stock offerings and debt financings, primarily in the real estate investment trust industry. Previously, she was a partner at Hogan Lovells. She earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Clara Poffenberger, 47, has joined Bingham McCutchen’s Washington office as a partner in the environmental, land use and natural resources practice group. She focuses on the Clean Air Act, as well as climate-change regulation, in the oil and gas sector. Previously, she was counsel for environmental and safety law for Exxon Mobil Corp. She earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law.
