Donald Griswold, 54, and Walter Nagel, 54, have joined Crowell & Moring’s Washington office as partners in the firm’s tax group. Both of them focus their practices on state and local tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, state tax planning and audit defense and litigation. Previously, Griswold and Nagel, both on the faculty of Georgetown University Law Center, were partners at Reed Smith. Griswold earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. Nagel earned his J.D. and LL.M. from Rutgers School of Law — Newark and Georgetown University Law Center, respectively.
Kecia Reynolds, 43, has joined Goodwin Procter’s Washington office as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property litigation practice. She focuses on evidentiary hearings before the International Trade Commission, abbreviated new drug application district court litigation and appeals before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. Previously, she was an investigative attorney in the International Trade Commission’s Office of Unfair Import Investigations, where she focused on patent and trademark infringement matters. She earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.

John Richter, 48, has joined King & Spalding’s Washington office as a partner in the special matters and government investigations practice. He focuses his practice on health care investigations and qui tam cases. Previously, Richter was vice president and deputy general counsel at WellCare Health Plans Inc. Before that, he served as the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Johnny Chiu, 50, has joined Morrison & Foerster’s Washington office as a partner in the intellectual property litigation practices. He focuses his practice on intellectual property disputes before the International Trade Commission and federal and state courts. Previously, Chiu was a partner at Covington & Burling. He earned his LL.M. and J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and Tulane University Law School, respectively.
