Cozen O’Connor (Philadelphia): David Zambito joins the firm’s energy, environmental and public utilities practice group as partner in the Harrisburg, Pa., office and will focus on regulatory and commercial issues involving utilities. Previously, Zambito was a partner at Post & Schell.

Carter Ledyard & Milburn (New York): Susan Power Johnston joins the firm’s corporate trust and its insolvency and creditors’ rights practices as counsel and will focus on representing indenture trustees, examiners, debtors and creditors’ committees in insolvency proceedings. Previously, Johnston was counsel to Covington & Burling.

Loeb & Loeb: Allen Sussman joins the firm’s capital markets and corporate practice groups as partner in the Los Angeles office and will focus on corporate and securities transactions and counseling for startups and mature public companies in health care, entertainment, technology and banking. Previously, Sussman was a partner at Reed Smith.

McKenna Long & Aldridge: Justin Kleinman joins the firm’s real estate and finance practice as partner in the New York office. He will focus on acquisitions, dispositions, mortgage and mezzanine loan financing, joint venture and preferred equity investments, debt restructuring, workouts and distressed transactions. Previously, Kleinman was a partner at Greenberg Traurig.

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy (New York): Gerard Uzzi joins the firm’s financial restructuring group as partner in the New York office and will focus on complex bankruptcy matters. Previously, Uzzi was a partner at White & Case.

Phelps Dunbar (New Orleans): Patrick Talley Jr. joins the firm as partner in the New Orleans office and will focus on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on transportation, energy and environmental law. Previously Talley was a partner at Frilot.

Shefsky & Froelich (Chicago): Graham Grady joins the firm’s real estate and land-use practice as partner and will focus on government relations, zoning, land use, licensing and regulatory matters. Previously, Grady was a partner at K&L Gates.

NEW ARRIVALS

Choate, Hall & Stewart (Boston): Laura Sanborn joins the firm’s labor and employment benefits practice group as of counsel and will focus on employee benefit plans, health care reform and equity compensation. Previously, she was assistant general counsel at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Inc.

 

Duane Morris (Philadelphia): Mark Kessler joins the firm’s corporate practice group as of counsel to the Philadelphia office and will focus on corporate and securities law, primarily representing public companies in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, public and private financing, and corporate governance. Previously, Kessler was senior vice president and general counsel at Toll Brothers Inc.


McDermott Will & Emery:
Charles Ditkoff joins the firm’s health team as counsel to the New York office and will focus on health care matters and transactions. Previously, Ditkoff was vice chairman and head of global health care corporate and investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Seyfarth Shaw (Chicago): Donald Lepore joins the firm’s corporate department as partner in the New York office and will focus on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation and renewable-energy matters. Previously, Lepore was general counsel at RNK Capital.

SNR Denton: Scott Toban joins the firm’s real estate practice as partner in the Chicago office and will focus on advising clients on transactions, regulatory issues and compliance matters, mergers and acquisitions, and policies and operations. Previously, Toban was principal and general counsel of the Real Estate Institute.
