Gregory Smith, 46, has joined Allen & Overy’s Washington office as a partner in the projects group. Smith focuses on international financing transactions in the emerging markets of Africa, Central and South Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Previously, he was a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Christine Bloomquist, 43, has joined Hogan Lovells’ Washington office as a partner in the health practice. Bloomquist focuses on advising pharmaceutical and medical-device companies on fraud and abuse compliance, pricing and regulatory and policy matters. Previously, she was senior director of federal government affairs at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals L.P. She earned her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.
