Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld: Paul Lin and Kevin McBride join the firm’s corporate and intellectual property litigation practices, respectively, as partners in the Los Angeles office. Lin will focus on serving clients in the technology and consumer electronics industries. McBride will focus on patent and other intellectual property litigation. Previously, Lin and McBride were partners at Jones Day.

DLA Piper: Paul Chen joins the firm’s corporate and securities practice as partner in the East Palo Alto, Calif., office and will focus on cross-border transactions in the United States and Asia, representing strategic and private-equity buyers and sellers in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Previously, Chen was a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Dorsey & Whitney: Jonathan Silverblatt joins the firm’s corporate group as partner in the New York office and will focus on representing clients in corporate transactions. Previously, Silverblatt was a partner at Phillips Nizer.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher (Los Angel­es): Tomer Pinkusiewicz joins the firm’s capital markets practice as partner in the New York office and will focus on project bonds and infrastructure matters. Previously, Pinkusiewicz was a partner at White & Case.

Jones Day: John Kinton joins the firm’s intellectual property practice as partner in the San Diego office and will focus on patent litigation. Previously, Kinton was a partner at DLA Piper.

Kaye Scholer (New York): John Fallon Jr. joins the firm’s corporate practice as partner in the New York office and will focus on acquisitions and divestitures, private equity and debt transactions, project finance, equipment and aircraft acquisitions. Previously, Fallon was a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Kelley Drye & Warren (New York): Loryn Dunn Arkow joins the firm’s real estate practice as partner in the Los Angeles office and will focus on acquisitions, joint ventures, lending and other finance transactions. Previously, Arkow was a partner at Cox, Castle & Nicholson.

Nixon Peabody: Jill Gordon joins the firm’s health services practice as partner in the Los Angeles office and will focus on representing hospitals, long-term care facilities, medical groups and other entities affiliated within the health care industry. Previously, Gordon was a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine.

Phillips Nizer (New York): Alan Behr joins the firm’s intellectual property practice as partner in the New York office and will focus on licensing, copyright and trademark protection for the entertainment and fashion industries. Previ­ously, he was a partner at Alston & Bird.

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan (Los Angeles): John Neukom joins the firm’s intellectual property practice as partner in the San Francisco office and will focus on complex litigation and jury trials. Previously, Neukom was a partner at Mayer Brown.

Saul Ewing (Philadelphia): Maria Ellena Chavez-Ruark joins the firm’s bankruptcy and restructuring practice as partner in the Baltimore office and will focus on complex bankruptcy and debtor-creditor matters. Previously, Chavez-Ruark was a partner at Tydings & Rosenberg.

Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr: Robert Finkel joins the firm’s corporate group as partner in the New York office and will focus on complex commercial transactions with an emphasis on technology and outsourcing. Previously, Finkel was a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Katten Muchin Rosenman: David Bryant, national chairman of the firm’s real estate practice, has been named managing partner of the Chicago office. Bryant focuses on commercial real estate law and, in his new role, will help continue to strengthen and grow the firm’s Chicago office.
