Her move is a loss for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, where she’s done civil and criminal litigation since 1994. She said Skadden contacted her, and though she “wasn’t necessarily looking,” she couldn’t refuse. “It was just an opportunity that I would have been a fool to pass up on. I’m many things, but I’m not a fool,” she said.
