Cincinnati-based Dinsmore & Shohl is merging with 54-attorney Woodward, Hobson & Fulton of Louisville, Ky., to create a 450-attorney law firm.

Effective on Sept. 1, the firm will maintain the Dinsmore & Shohl name and will expand the Cincinnati firm’s corporate, product liability and labor and employment practices. With 400 attorneys, Dinsmore & Shohl has 11 locations, primarily in the South and Midwest. In addition to its Louisville location, Woodward Hobson has an office in Lexington, Ky.

“One of the firm’s strategic goals is to keep pace with continued client growth in the Midwest, and this is certainly another step in the right direction,” Dinsmore & Shohl managing partner George H. Vincent said in a press release.

Dinsmore & Shohl, founded in 1908, focuses on corporate law, business litigation, and labor and employment law.
